صفات در زبان انگلیسی ۲ (Adjectives)

Compound adjectives
What are compound adjectives?
A compound adjective is formed when two or more adjectives are joined together to modify the same noun. These terms should be hyphenated to avoid confusion or ambiguity. For example:

Diana submitted a 6-page document.
She adopted a two-year-old cat.

Order of adjectives
Adjectives in English follow an order as most languages. In many languages, adjectives denoting attributes usually occur in a specific order.
Generally, the adjective order in English is:

Quantity or number
Quality or opinion
Size
Age
Shape
Color
Proper adjective (often nationality, other place of origin, or material)
Purpose or qualifier

Please note that one or some of these adjectives may be used in a sentence.

Example:

He was wearing an amazing brown coat.

She was a beautiful, tall, thin, young, blonde-haired, American women.

صفات مرکب
صفات مرکب چیه صفاتی هستند؟
صفات مرکب از به هم پیوستن دو یا چند صفت و برای تعریف همان اسم تشکیل می شوند. این عبارت ها برای جلوگیری از ابهام و یا سردرگمی باید با هم بپیوندند. مثال:

Diana submitted a 6-page document.

دایانا یک پرونده ۶ صفحه ای را تحویل داد.

She adopted a two-year-old cat.

او یک گربه ۲ ساله را پذیرفت.

ترتیب صفات
صفات در زبان انگلیسی همچون اکثر زبان های دیگر دارای قاعده و ترتیب خاصی می باشند. در بسیاری از زبان ها، صفت ها بیانگر ویژگی هایی خاصی می باشند که معمولا با یک نظم خاصی در جمله و قبل از موصوف (اسمی که آن را توصیف می کنند) ظاهر می شوند.
به طور کلی، ترتیب صفات در زبان انگلیسی به این صورت است:

Quantity or number	مقدار یا تعداد	۱
Quality or opinion	کیفیت و یا کیفی	۲
Size	اندازه	۳
Age	سن	۴
Shape	شکل	۵
Color	رنگ	۶
Proper adjective (often nationality, other place of origin, or material)	صفت نسبی (اغلب ملیت، محل های دیگر از مبدا، و یا مواد)	۷
Purpose or qualifier	هدف و یا موصوفی	۸

توجه کنید که ممکن است یک یا چند مورد از این صفات در یک جمله مورد استفاده قرار گیرند.

مثال:

He was wearing an amazing brown coat.

او یک کت قهوه ای شگفت انگیز پوشیده بود.

She was a beautiful, tall, thin, young, blonde-haired, American women.

او یک زن زیبای، قد بلند، لاغر اندام، جوان، مو بور آمریکایی بود.
