Will or would?
You use ‘will’ to talk about the future.
‘I will do it tomorrow.’
‘Would’ is the past form of will.
‘I said I would do it by Tuesday, but I got sick.’
You use ‘would’ to talk about something that is
possible but not likely.
‘I would like to visit Antarctica.’
‘Would’ is used for offers and requests
‘Would you like a cup of tea?’
‘Would you pick that up please?’
To talk about what you prefer you can say ‘I’d
rather’ (I’d is short for ‘I would’)
‘I’d rather be at home than at work.’
