“You can’t judge a book by its cover.”
Meaning: It is said to show that you can’t know what something or someone is like just by looking only at appearance.
این اصطلاح به این معنیه: از روی ظاهر قضاوت نکن.
مثال۱:
She doesn’t look very intelligent, but you can’t judge a book by its cover.
زیاد باهوش به نظر نمیاد، ولی از روی ظاهرش نمیشه قضاوت کرد.
مثال۲:
He dresses in plain clothes and drives an old car. Who would know he is the richest man in town?” you can’t judge a book by its cover.
لباسای رنگ و رو رفته میپوشه و ماشینای قدیمی سوار میشه.کی میدونه پولدارترین آدم شهره؟ نمیتونی از روی ظاهرش قضاوت کنی.
