What Happened to Your Phone?
One sunny morning, Mia wanted to call her best friend, Jake.
She picked up her phone and dialed his number.
“Ring… ring… ring…”
But Jake didn’t answer.
Instead, a funny message popped up on her screen:
“Welcome to the Jungle Network!
The monkey you are trying to call is up in a tree.
Please try again later!”
Mia blinked.
“A monkey?! Jake is a monkey now?”
She looked out the window.
And there he was!
Jake was sitting high up in a big tree, holding a banana in one hand and his phone in the other.
“Hi, Mia!” Jake shouted.
“Jake! Why are you in a tree?”
Jake smiled.
“I wanted to get a better signal!”
Mia laughed.
“Did it work?”
Jake looked at his phone.
“Nope! But the bananas are great!”
Mia laughed even harder.
“Okay, Mr. Monkey. I’ll call you later!”
Jake waved his banana.
“Good idea! I’ll be here!”
And from that day on, whenever Mia couldn’t reach Jake, she knew exactly where to look.
